1.5 Million Pound Press Relocation
Project Scope for 1.5 Million Pound Press Relocation for Auto Manufacturer:
Disassemble stamping press and robot lines, palletize, label for
reassembly, and load on super heavy haul trucks to Alabama.
Disassembling and relocating a 1.5 million-pound stamping press from Ohio to Alabama was a complex and challenging endeavor. The move required a 600-ton gantry system, custom 12”x12” cribbing 200’ long for safe and stable support, and super heavy haul trucks capable of handling 300,000 pounds per load. A thorough risk assessment was conducted prior to the relocation, ensuring that all safety protocols were followed to prevent any damage to the machinery or surrounding structures.
Additionally, the logistics involved meticulous planning, including coordination with local authorities for transportation permits and road use. Our team of experienced technicians worked diligently to disassemble the press in a methodical manner, ensuring that each component was carefully labeled and secured for the journey. This project showcased our expertise in heavy equipment moving and industrial services, demonstrating our commitment to executing complex relocations efficiently and safely.
