1.5 Million Pound Press Relocation
Problem: An automotive manufacturer needed to relocate a 1.5 million-pound stamping press and its associated robotic systems from Ohio to Alabama. The machinery’s massive size, weight, and sensitivity posed major challenges for disassembly, transportation, and safe reinstallation.
Solution: Alltracon deployed a 600-ton gantry system, custom cribbing, and super heavy haul trucks rated for 300,000-pound loads. We conducted comprehensive risk assessments and managed permit logistics to ensure a secure and seamless relocation of the oversized equipment.
Disassembly & Tagging
The press and robot lines were carefully disassembled, palletized, and labeled to ensure precise reassembly at the destination.
Cribbing & Loading
A 200’ stretch of custom 12"x12" cribbing supported the load while the 600-ton gantry system lifted components onto super heavy haul trucks.
Transportation & Coordination
All loads were securely fastened and routed through permitted corridors, coordinated with state and local agencies for safe and timely delivery to Alabama.
